The 21st Century Woman...3

The 21st century is an era that have witnessed the use of repealing laws that discriminate against women and girls, laws that created gaps between boys and girls in education, technology, public services.    Women who were before labelled as housewives, weaker vessels, Kitchen keeper, their husbands nurse; these special traits which was often manipulated to breed inferiority in women has been replaced through the advancement of education and exposure of women. Boys and girls now receive education, women are now given positions in many dominating professions such as Engineering, Military, computer programming and so on. The 21st century woman now occupies (26) percent of jobs in artificial intelligence.  Greater representation of women now questions economic systems that fails to deliver economic progress.   However, while it is important to expound the fact that the 21 st  century woman can be anything she wants to be and can do everything that can improve ...

The 21st Century Woman...2

The 21st century is the era that gave women voices to fight against gender inequality. It is an era that witnessed the use of reformed laws and systems that before prevented women from utilising their potentials.  It is an era that stressed the seriousness of the topic, "Gender Equality",  Gender equality is a term with the purpose of empowering women as much as the men and it has the agenda of giving the females as much opportunity as the men. As at 2019 Nigeria witnessed (20) women out of (359) members of House of R...

It is an era that gave women voices to fight against gender inequality. It is an era that witnessed the use of reformed laws and systems that before prevented women from utilising their potentials.   The 21st century is a marked era from Jan 2001- 2100.  It is an era where people master content by producing information, synthesizi...

A come back and more!

I have been away from here for about four years! mhn...four good years! You can be sure that a lot has happened in those years. I started blogging in 2010 and just followed the trend, blogging about any and everything that caught my fancy but about 2014, I resolved to narrow my focus to topics about women and this I did and changed the name of the blog from "Amandashares" to "The Woman's blog". I kept at it and then I lost my beloved mum in whom I was and am still well pleased. She was the essence of womanhood to me. I drew a lot of strength and inspiration from her being, for she was a rare kind of woman. The curtains fell for me and I retreated. Indeed, time changes yesterday and heals wounds. I am not sure that I am quite healed from the pain her demise caused me because I remember her every single day. Though it is more than three years now but I have learnt from my place of grief not to remain in the place of obscurity , making excuses for not living the li...
