My kitchen Today: Akara; a palatable dish.

    Akara is a popular meal that originates from West Africa and is popular amongst countries in West Africa,  this dish is made from peeled beans. I enjoy this dish with Akamu (pap) and white bread, yummy...  Ingredients . 2 cups of beans( white or brown) I prefer brown beans . 6 seeds of Habanero Pepper and 4 seeds of Bell pepper . 2 medium onions . Shredded boiled fish or smoked fish( optional) . Salt to taste . Maggi . Crayfish ( optional) . Vegetable Oil for frying  Note: you must use  coatless beans to avoid spattering Equipment . Blender/ Heavy duty grinders . Sieve container    Before Cooking . Wash the beans thoroughly to make it coatless,while washing avoid it from coming in contact with Salt. This will prevent the spattering of the beans when frying . Soak the beans in water for hours after washing it depending on the equipment to be used  .   One funny man says " Wahala no dey finish, enjoy life small". Today we will be looking at one of the most popular dish and how it can be locally made.    Sharwama is a dish that originates from the middle East. It consist of meat cut into thin slices  stacked into a Cone-like bread and roasted on a slowly - turning spit, while it looks like a highly continental dish, it can actually be prepared locally in your house Ingredients ( for  I person) . Unleavened bread(9*5 inches) . Carrots ( 7-10 fingers) . Cabbage( 1 bulb) . Chicken/ beef/ Mutton( I will be using chicken) . Hot dog . Ketchup ( 1/4 cup) . Sharwama Sauce . My Kitchen Today: African Salad( Abacha)

The Abacha is a by product of cassava, it is gotten after cassava has been soaked, dried and shredded. It is widely consumed by the igbo's of Nigeria. It is popularly referred to as African Salad and is sometimes used as  Desserts for entertaining visitors. My Kitchen Today: Chicken De Poulet

Often times people spend a lot of Fortune to eat certain food in the eatery, while some see it as a means of enjoyment others see it as an herculean task, a meal that requires high level of professionalism but today we will see that some meals are not as difficult as it seem. Chicken De Poulet is a Mauritius meal sometimes called Chicken Fricasee, it is a method of cooking chicken by cutting it up and braising it after which it is served with it's sauce( we will be considering tomatoes and vegetable sauce) , to prepare this meal the chicken needs to be pan- fried  first before boiling it.
