Woman Crush Sunday(WCS): Nike Adeyemi

   
 Nike Adeyemi is an international conference speaker, author and Co-pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Lagos, Nigeria.  She is popularly known as a minister of love, life and purpose, she is also known as a co-ordinator for relief efforts to needy communities. She is currently the president of Real Woman International in Atlanta, Georgia USA.
   Nike Adeyemi has MSC in Architecture from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and MBA from Business school Netherland, She further trained in strategic perspectives for Non- profit Management at Harvard School, she is a fellow of the institute of Researchers and Administrators of Nigeria, she is also a member of the Nigerian institute of social workers amongst others, she is a recipient of many awards, Nike serves on the board of other Non- profit and  profit organisations. 
   This inspirational speaker was born on April 11th 1967 to the family of professor Gabriel and Princess Aderonke Ogunmola, she is a mother of three and a wife to Pastor Sam Adesanya Adeyemi of Daystar Christian center.
   As a minister she co- founded the Daystar Christian center in 1995 with her husband with the vision of raising role models, the ministry is dedicated to community works such as rebuilding dilapidated public schools. In 1997, She  founded  the Real Woman foundation located in Lagos, Nigeria, a foundation dedicated to healing and empowering women and children through the peace villa shelter/ rehab centre. She also runs a motherless baby home called 'Love  Home Orphanage'; where abandoned children and less priviledged children are taken care of.
    As a speaker she is the founder of 'Real woman with Nike Adeyemi', a global TV broadcast where she shares wisdom on various life issues centred on women of all ages, these organisations of hers is sponsored by individuals, schools, hospitals,NAPTIPS and many more. She has been priviledged to minister In conferences within and outside Nigeria. More to her is, She is the principal consultant at Gabriel and Princess Limited; a training and consulting company that specializes in work- life balance.
 As an entrepreneur, she is involve in the baking of cakes and designing of cards, She is also a profound  author of books like 'Building a successful home' and 'Woman as an Asset to the Nation' ,  because of her love for education she pioneered Pneuma publishing limited, an information resource management company . 
One of her secrets to having  a balanced life according to her is having a prioritized life although her family comes first above all responsibilities.
  Yes she had her own challenges alongside her husband in building the organisations they now have, for instance the first four years of their ministry ( Day star) they didn't witness  growth as they wanted, they faced challenges  in terms of  finances, accommodation and support  but with obedience to God's promises, prayers& fasting,unity and Saving they received transformation. 
 "He that waters will himself be watered"; through her organisations, many women and children have been transformed by earning college degrees and establishing their business , God has also been good to her, one her children;  David Adeyemi graduated with flying colors from Emory University in 2019. She always say "it is good to know and quote the scriptures but we are better off when the word is in our hearts". Research  has it that she is worth approximately 1million dollars. 
 It is indeed honourable to be a light to this world, Be one! The world is female.

Domestic Voilence in Nigeria heightens in the face of economic hardship-majority of victims are women!

A recent Public Opinion poll conducted by NOIPolls Limited in partnership with Project Alert on domestic violence has revealed an increasing prevalence of domestic violence across Nigeria in recent times as reported by about 8 in 10 (78 percent) respondents. This prevalence is highest in the South-West geo-political zone (86 percent) and lowest in the South-South zone (70 percent). More findings revealed that 54 percent of Nigerians have suffered a form of domestic violence or know someone that has experienced domestic violence in their homes with majority of the victims being women as stated by 75 percent of respondents. Just this week, a man in Aba Abia state allegedly beat his wife into coma for lying to him that she has not been paid her salary after commissioner for finance Obinna Oriaku mis-informed the Abia public on radio that civil servants salary arrears have been paid.
