A 20 year old  man,Yusuf Maman, on Thursday allegedly  killed his 40-year-old father for scooping two measures of millet from his ban without his  permission. The incident took place  in Anguwa Laraba, Fagam in Gwaram Local Government Area of Jigawa. Investigations revealed that the young man allegedly  macheted his father, Malam Maman Dan-Alhaji to death in the early  hours of  Thursday, sending a wave of shock to residents of the village. Justice Yetunde Idowu of the Ikeja High Court, Thursday, has ordered the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, to pay Nigerian comedy actor, Babatunde Omidina, Popularly known as Baba Suwe, N25 million as compensation for unlawful detention and breach of right. Baba Suwe who was granted bail November 4, had gone to court to seek redress over an alleged suspicion of ingesting substances believed to be hard drug and detention in the custody of NDLEA for 24 days. Farida Waziri has been removed as the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. In her place, President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of Ibrahim Lamorde as the Acting Chairman of the Commission. A statement from the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati said the appointment takes immediate effect. The acting EFCC Chairman, Lamorde is an officer of the Nigeria Police and was until this appointment the Director of Operations of the EFCC. He was also Acting Chairman of the EFCC before Mrs. Waziri assumed duty at the Commission. Farida Waziri was appointed EFCC Chairman by Late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua on May 18, 2008 and confirmed by the Senate on May 27, 2008

Minister of Aviation Mrs Stella Oduah says there is no going back on the slot reduction for British Airways flights into Lagos.The ministry is set to reduce the airline's operation frequency from seven to thrice weekly. She said the reduction was taken to demonstrate the courage of government in reviewing Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) with many countries, which have not given fair share of the market to Nigerian carriers. “Beyond the issue of BASA, the government is also worried over the discriminatory ticket pricing, where British Airways fares are higher in Nigeria than other countries in Africa, including Ghana and South Africa. Gombe State deputy governor Mr. David Miyims Albashi has died at 52 in the early hours of Friday, November 4,2011. The state government declared a seven-day period of mourning in the state with effect from Friday, November 4, 2011 following the demise of its Deputy Governor, Mr. David Miyims Albashi. It could be recalled that Mr Albashi was flown to Germany for medical attention after a terrible auto crash which left him with serious head injuries in August this year. Excerpts from a Press release which was signed by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Alhaji Abubakar Sule Bagge reads;“With total submission to the will of the Almighty God, His Excellency, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo OON (Talban Gombe), Governor of Gombe State, regrets to announce the passing away of His Excellency, Mr. David Miyim Alhbashi in Germany in the early hours of this morning’.

Kim Kardashian hasn't spoken a word to Kris Humphries since she filed for divorce, despite reports to the contrary -- this according to sources close to the couple. Sources close to Kim say ... the two have been giving each other nothing but the silent treatment since Kim filed divorce papers on Monday ... despite multiple reports they've been communicating regularly. Sometimes in the world of entertainment you just cant help but have some bad timing. This was the case for Kelly Ripa and Nick Lachey who played Halloween dress up as wedding-day Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries on the day that their divorce was announced. Ripa, owner of the greatest 80′s slow dance stare ever, loves getting into the Halloween spirit and was stoked for Regis and Kelly show. The ceaselessly exuberant Ripa went all the way with the costume and the photos even trying to make Lachey look much, much taller. It was a fun and spirited Halloween special except for the whole Kim marriage whammy thing. Too bad,Kim and Chris are no more an item to follow...

Ok,I am sad and very disappointed in these two characters.Don't get me wrong,I'm not judging them,in fact I love Kim.Filing for divorce exactly 72 days after her over celebrated wedding and exactly one year after she met Chris?C'mon now,yea things happen but this is a little disturbing for real.A friend bluntly said she expected it from them and a colleague said she probably haven't had any drama in her life after 72 days of marriage and needed a divorce to get her groove back.A lot can really happen in one year!.How drab and disappointing Kim! And to think when I wrote about this wedding,I ended with:"I pray it lasts till death do you two part!".ewwwww...
