Often time,people mistake poverty as lack of money alone but according to Irene Khan

"Poverty is not only about income, it is about the deprivation of economic and social rights, insecurity, discrimination, exclusion and powerlessness.That is why human rights must not be ignored but given even greater prominence in times of economic crisis".

Irene Khan is a Bangladeshi lawyer and the first female appointed as of August 2020 to be the United Nations Special Rapporteur for freedom of expression and opinion.
