The God in Oprah!

I listened to this woman yesterday, share her life story which I had read many times and to say I was inspired,is simply to put it most mildly. She remembered how she was born by an unwed teenage mother who had no connection with her.She said nothing was lucky about her life and she stressed that her life is all about grace, many blessings and divine order!. She painted a picture of how many of us would have been born to expectant happy parents who welcomed us and gave us the best and yet we live pitiful lives. She recounted her story with tear filled eyes and maintained that if she could be this unworthy and still be blessed by grace, then you and I should be more blessed because we are worthy!. These,to me are sacred words that rode home to my soul to settle forever.
Once upon a time,I wanted so much to be like Oprah until I heard a story about her being an atheist.I was so disappointed that I stopped following her life events. How fulfilling it was for me to hear her emphatically say on television that she never achieved any success without God. In fact,we share the same favorite bible verse: "I can do all things through Christ who Strengthens me". This is not to sound religious or fanatical but this just again reminds me that only a greater force in you can propel you  to greatness and keep you there. That greater force is God!

Longest Nails on the Planet!

This is Christine Walton from Las Vegas -- who has the world's longest fingernails measuring a freaky 19ft 9in (601.9cm).She has set a record in Guiness world book of records. That's 10ft 2in (309.8cm) on her left hand and 9ft 7in (292.1cm) on her right hand and the 45-year-old singer says she hasn’t cut her fingernails since 1990. Christine insists the nails don’t prevent her from living a normal life; she can still braid hair, cook and drive, however, she does confess to struggling when shopping for clothes: "I’ll see the cutest shirts, and they’ll have these skinny arms and I know that my nails would just rip straight through them, she said. "I never made a conscious decision to grow the nails, but with all my children and the music commitments I guess it was easier to let the nails grow," she added, "Then one day I look down and they’re like 9 inches long!" Her current length of the fingernails are the equivalent length of a killer whale; two...
