Beautiful Thursday

I turned the key to my door at about 5:14pm that evening after a long day at work, then the thought that I had to go for a christian meeting at 6:30pm crossed my mind, but I have a date at 7pm,I suddenly thought aloud.Unlike me,I was just not eager to attend the meeting.Anyway,I quickly fixed one of my favorite meals(eba and vegetable soup)*wink*...and had me a very good meal.
I settled down with some fruits and turned my television on,hoping to watch my favourite programme till about 7pm when I shall hopefully be leaving for my date and whack?!*these " no send awuff people" have scrambled my subscription!.

I never want to be caught anywhere by indecision, but this particular Thursday,I just couldn't decide how to spend my evening.I tried to read, for where?tried to write, who sai?tried to sleep, dem dey buy am,I mean how could I?My mind was wondering all over the place.Anyway,at about 8mins to 7pm,I conclusively made up my mind to go for the Christian meeting.I walked into the hall about 42mins later than the scheduled meeting time.I couldn't help but notice the sincere smile on the faces of everyone, drinking in the beauty of the moment, basking in the quietnes of the environment. There was an unmistakeable difference from the hustle and bustle outside the walls of that compound and a whole lot of thoughts crowded my already busy mind.Every eye that met mine acknowledged me with a nod of the head.Hardly, had I taken my seat than I was served with this plate of sumptuous meal. You know I had already given myself a treat but this creative art posing before me begged me for a taste, moreso as my tastebuds gathered enough saliva to force my lips open for a bite.mmhnn.Indeed it tasted as it looked...sumptuous!

As I tried to justify the cook,a very confident voice drew our attention to it's owner.Goodevening ladies and gentlemen, please may I have your attention for some minutes? It was this dark skinned pretty lady full of smiles and had written all over her,"I am a good wife and a good mother"!.She didn't take our time at all.She simply reminded us of what we already knew as christians but I took something away.Sh e talked about every child of God being a colt for Jesus' Triumphant entry. How the Colt remained where it was tied, not exceeding its boundaries until Christ requested of it and had it adorned with royal clothings and people laid their clothings on the ground, the donkey walked on the clothes,What a revelation I thought.Obedience brings upliftment, little wonder the scriptures say that God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble!.

I couldn't wish for better words of encouragement. It was a beautiful Thursday for me.So be encouraged.Challenges will come, but remain true to your creator and don't exceed your bounds as a christian. The day of your decoration is coming. It may tarry but surely it will come!

Still wondering about my date?I called to cancel, lol.Eternity is more important to me than date of at most one hour.whatdyathink?

"I never made a conscious decision to grow the nails, but with all my children and the music commitments I guess it was easier to let the nails grow," she added, "Then one day I look down and they’re like 9 inches long!"
