Does love work in Marriage?

Until very recently,I have been a great fan of love for marriage or nothing else.I slept and woke up with the thought of getting married to a man I truly loved.Yes,I was conscious of the fact that he should love me too,but I guess I was more interested in my love for  him rather than his for me.Sick?Yes,now I know.The sad thing is that there are many women like that,who just want to be married for nothing else but love!

Now don't get me wrong,I am still an advocate of love for relationships.Love is a beautiful thing and anyone who finds it, is blessed.Believe me,its been proven that love has been more a burden than a strength in marriage.Think of when the money is no longer flowing in,when he becomes promiscuous,when she begins to nag,when the kids delay in coming,when in laws become a pain in the neck and all that...

You see,it is often said that love is more than a feeling,it is forgiving,why don't we forgive when he commits adultery.It is transparent,why do we lie to people we love?,yes we could be protecting them,you may argue,but is that love?It endures all things,why do we quarrel when there is no money and things are not just working the way we want them to work?It believes all things,why do we doubt and suspect every movement he/she makes,why don't we trust totally?It hopes all things,why do we readily judge the future by past actions?

A great mind revealed something I think could go a long way to save marriages and I quote:'Do not marry someone you love if you are a good person;rather marry the one that loves you but if you are a bad person,marry the one that you love even if the person doesn't love you'.When I read this,something in me leaped with either joy or sadness,wasn't sure of which but a mixture of the two feelings anyway.Yea,I know no one will accept that he/she is bad but you see,we all know ourselves better than anyone else.You know if you are good or bad!Your guess is as good as mine.

It is important you know that Love is a gift from God.Also know that love has wings and always prefers the side of beauty to ugliness.It will always fly to meet goodies,its unbelievable but it is the truth.Life is complex,we could never understand it totally.More than love in relationships,wisdom is the principal thing.With wisdom,you can't get it wrong,quote me.Make your choice,I mean the decision is entirely yours to make.Best wishes to whatever you decide,remember not making a choice is also a choice!.

Absolutely eye opening,stumbled on ya blog searching on google.Seriously,I think love may just work for some people,as in selfless love if there is any such thing among humans.Clear reason why pple shld involve God more.He is love.

Tired of giving!

Oops!it's been rain rain rain in this part of my world for the past one week.At times it can be really annoying,especially when you have planned a fun day and the rains come pouring down making the ground all wet and irritating.If there is anything I love to do,it is shopping.I had planned to go shopping and the rain wouldn't just go away so I threw caution to the wind and grabbed my little umbrella.Out in the rain I went,quickly hailed a cab and zoomed to the market.
