Not too long ago,it was reported that his leg had to be amputated due to serious infection he got after sustaining an injury that worsened by the day because of his diabetic condition.It seems the fine actor couldn't cope with the condition and had to bid us farewell.He was one of my favorite Nollywood actors.His calm nature endeared him to me and my family.I remember my mum always felt so bad when he was maltreated in a movie,which was the case most times anyway.Too many actors have died this year...Well..may his soul RIP.

Aged siblings- Ibijoke Apena and Janeth Eruwayo- who are living in a dingy one-room apartment, their case is a different kettle of fish. They have been abandoned by their children and relations. At 8, Amusan Street, Rogo, along Iju-Ishaga Road, Lagos State, where they live, the two sisters have become nuisance to other tenants. Though they are from Jakpa in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, they have spent more than 60 years outside Delta. Their condition of living is simply appalling as where they defecate, urinate and do so many things is where they eat and sleep. The odour oozing out of their room has become a source of concern to co-tenants who now avoid them like plague. The odour from their apartment fills the entire place, causing people around to throw up. Even when it was obvious that their children had forsaken them, they cocooned themselves in the world of pretence, saying “our children have not abandoned us. Don’t speak ill of our children.” ...

THE violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, on Thursday  indicated its readiness  to end its  campaign of  violence but on the conditions that ex-Borno State Governor Modu Sheriff  was arrested and peace talks held in Saudi Arabia.  Also, the sect is asking for compensation for families of its members killed in the course of its  terrorist acts   and the rebuilding of its mosques by the Federal Government.  It also demanded the release of all its  members in the custody of security agencies. Abu Mohammed Ibn Abdulaziz, the  second-in-command to the sect’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, gave    the conditions on Thursday during a radio conference with journalists in Maiduguri, Borno State. DISTURBED by the high level of immorality it has caused among Imo people, the State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has ordered the immediate closure of all clubs where women dance in the nude. Briefing journalists on Tuesday in Owerri, the state capital, Okorocha regretted that the state had been turned into  ‘Sodom and Gomorrah’ of the Bible where young girls dance completely naked in the clubs at night, threatening to deal with any such club operator who fails to carry the order. He said: “This administration will not tolerate any lawlessness any more. We notice some lawlessness in the state and this government will deal ruthlessly with anybody found to be exposing our young girls. A former councillor of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State, Onimole Babatunde, is currently being detained at the Area E Police Command, Festac, Lagos for allegedly stabbing an 18-year-old girl in the neck after she refused his advances at a night club. On October 26, Mariam Abubakar (pictured above) went to Pearl Habour Night Club in Rochester Garden Hotel, Festac to “catch weekend fun.” Her friend, who pleaded anonymity, said they only went there “to hang out” when Babatunde, who was obviously drunk, started to make advances to Abubakar.
