Twenty years barren woman welcomes triplets!

Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, his wife, Oluwakemi, and other top government functionaries shed tears of joy on Sunday at the christening of the triplets of the Chairman of the state Asphalt Company, Mr. Niran Jogbodo. Niran and his wife, Fadekemi, had been married for 20 years without a child. The guests and members of the Akure District Headquarters of the Foursquare Gospel Church could not hold back tears as they listened to the couple relating how immediate and extended family members put pressure on them. Niran said despite that, he remained steadfast and vowed never to patronise false prophets and herbalists in their quest to have a child.

3Ds: B4 U SAY YES

The recent explosion of social-media networks on the Internet has brought to the fore deficiency in a very vital element of human relationship: which is close-up- one-on-one contact. Today, so many IT savvy people have formed the habit of going online in search of friendship, companionship, business partnership and sundry relationships. Because of the length of time they spend online, this has left many users of such sites especially youths, with faint knowledge about the dynamics of human nature and or characteristics on a personal one on one level. With this trend comes in various challenges of groping in the dark: because the person one may be dealing with at the other end, may well be phony in real life. Hence, before one should say yes to any partnership proposal, be it for marriage, friendship, or business with anybody;  be it online or offline; it is imperative to look deeply before plunging into the relationship-pool. It should be borne in mind that, in o...

FOR WOMEN ONLY...

SAW THIS ON MENA UKODOISREADY'S BLOG AND THOUGHT TO SHARE... FYI - Through a rapist's eyes! A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interviewed on what they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts: 1] The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun! , braid or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed. They are also likely to go after a woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common targets. 2] The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for women who's clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors around to cut clothing. 3] They also look for women using their cell phone, searching through their purse or doing other activities while walking because they are off guard and can be easily overpowered. 4] The number one place women are abducted from / attacked at is grocery store parking lots. ...

Lets talk family

The year 1994 was proclaimed as the International Year of Families by the United Nations. This was a response to changing social and economic structures, which have affected and still affect the structure and stability of family units in many regions of the globe. The International Day of Families, on May 15, is an occasion to reflect on the work started during 1994 and to celebrate the importance of families, people, societies and cultures around the world. It has been held every year since 1995.The International Day of Families, annually held on May 15, celebrates the importance of families and the work started during the International Year of Families. The International Day of Families is a global observance and not a public holiday. Happy International Family Day.As for me,my family is everything to me.

Drowning fisherman refuses help from rescue team

c While on my way home from work yesterday,I noticed an unusual traffic jam on the Jabi bridge. As I looked to know what the chaos was about,I saw a little crowd of people looking over the bridge and into the lake below.I also saw some policemen,a fire service van and some men obviously of the rescue squad, interestingly, these guys seemed unperturbed about whatever the challenge was.I couldn't help stopping to ask questions from observers.Trust my country people nah, everyone had his own  version of the story but one seemed to make sense to me;The time was about 8:15pm,the young man told me that two fishermen were fishing in their boat around 5pm when it suddenly  capsized and all efforts to rescue them proved abortive. In fact ,he said one of the fishermen  had died already and the one alive was now very tired. In  the dark, he showed me what looked like a human  form in  the water. When I asked why the rescue team was  not doing an ything to save the man...

Oteh blames Okereke-Onyiuke for Nigerian Capital Market Crash

In what look like an expository lecture, the  DG SEC, Ms.Arunma Oteh maintained that the market succumbed to a combination of ailments - sensational lifestyle and financial recklessness, among others. She openly blamed the former DG SEC,Mrs  Ndi Okereke-Onyiuke for the ailing stock market. She released mind blowing figures  of  unaccounted  monies spent during Okereke-Onyiuke's tenure. In her words; “There were incidents of financial skimming, misappropriation, false accounting, misrepresentation and questionable transactions against the former NSE DG.  “For instance, the NSE bought a yacht for N37million and wrote down the book value within one year by recognising it in the books as a gift presented during its 2008 Long Service Award (LSA), yet there are no records of the beneficiary.  “The Exchange also spent N186million on 165 Rolex wrist watches as gifts for awardees out of which only 73 were actually presented to the awardees.
